What we handle
From a spreadsheet to a filed receipt, in four steps.
This is the whole thing, start to finish. Not a feature list: the actual sequence of what happens to your money, your people and your paperwork every month.
Setting up
Add the business
Name, TIN, the state you file PAYE in, your pay dates and the accounts you pay from.
Add the people
Salary, start date, pension administrator, bank details, staff or contract. Import your existing spreadsheet if you have one.
Check the first run against your last one
We run the month you have already paid and you compare it, line by line, with what you actually paid. Nothing goes live until those two match.
Go
From then on the run repeats and you only touch what changed.
What happens in a run
1. Gross pay
Basic, housing, transport and whatever else your structure carries, per person, plus anything one off this month: overtime, a bonus, an absence, a mid month joiner.
2. Deductions
Pension at 8 per cent of emolument. National Housing Fund at 2.5 per cent of basic where it applies. Any loan or salary advance you are recovering, and any earned wage draw a member of staff has already taken. The employer contributions, pension at 10 per cent and NSITF, are worked out at the same time so you know your real cost, not just the net pay.
3. PAYE
Chargeable income is gross less the deductions above, less rent relief for anyone who has claimed it. Tax is worked out on the 2026 bands, annualised and spread across the year so nobody gets a strange month. The band by band arithmetic is shown, not hidden.
4. Approval
One screen. Total gross, total deductions, total leaving your account, and every person listed. Nothing is paid, remitted or filed until you approve it.
5. Payment and remittance
Net pay goes to your staff. PAYE goes to your state revenue authority. Pension goes to each administrator, housing fund to the Federal Mortgage Bank. Each one comes back with a reference, and each reference is stored against the run that produced it.
6. What you are left holding
Payslips with every member of staff. A dated receipt for every remittance. A schedule per provider. An annual return that is assembling itself as the year goes.
The four things we do, in full
Payroll
Every pay type in one run, with joiners, leavers and part month pay handled properly, and payslips out on approval.
PAYE and remittance
Calculated on the 2026 bands, remitted to your state authority, and the receipt filed against the run and the person.
Electronic invoicing
Compliant invoices issued and stored, so the 2027 requirement is a setting you already have rather than a project you have to start.
Earned wage access
Staff draw part of what they have already worked for, before payday, at a flat fee they see first. It never touches your working capital.
The year, in dates
| When | What is due | What NaijaPay does |
|---|---|---|
| Your pay date, monthly | Salaries and payslips | Runs it and sends the payslips |
| 10th of the following month | PAYE remittance to the state | Remits it and stores the receipt |
| Within 7 working days of pay | Pension remittance | Sends the schedule and remits per administrator |
| Monthly | Housing fund and NSITF | Produces and remits the schedules |
| 31 January | Annual employer return | Assembles it from twelve runs, not from memory |
| 31 March | Individual returns | Gives every member of staff their annual summary |
Confirm every date on this table
Deadlines vary by state and by obligation. Ovie, this table needs the tax lead to sign it off and a visible last verified date before it goes live.
On the phone
All of it, from your hand.
Approve a run in a car park. Pull a remittance receipt in a meeting. Your staff open a payslip, download proof of income and draw earned wages, on a small Android phone and a network that keeps dropping.
Both apps open the early access list while we finish the store review.
Works offline
Read your records with no signal. Actions queue and go when the network comes back.
Small phones first
Designed at 360 pixels wide before it was designed at 1440.
English and Pidgin
Every tax explanation exists in both, because clarity is the product.
Biometric approval
A payroll run is money leaving. It gets a fingerprint, not a password.
